2. Our Services

We provide the following services:

  • Full and partial house clearances
  • Bereavement clearance services
  • Garage, loft, and cellar clearances
  • Furniture removal and disposal
  • Waste collection and disposal
  • Commercial property clearances
  • End of tenancy clearances

All waste disposal is carried out in accordance with UK environmental regulations and our Upper Tier Waste Carrier License.

3. Booking and Quotes

  • All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
  • Quotes are based on the information provided and may change if the scope of work differs
  • We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion
  • Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of your acceptance and any required deposit
  • We will provide reasonable notice of our intended arrival time

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing

  • Prices include labor, transportation, and legal disposal costs
  • Additional charges may apply for items requiring special disposal (e.g., electrical appliances, hazardous materials)
  • Parking charges, if incurred, will be passed on to the customer
  • Prices may vary based on access difficulties or additional labor requirements

4.2 Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements are agreed
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards
  • A deposit may be required for large jobs
  • Late payment charges may apply after 30 days

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property and items for removal
  • Clearly identify all items to be removed and any items to be retained
  • Inform us of any valuable, hazardous, or fragile items
  • Ensure you have the legal right to dispose of all items
  • Provide accurate information about the scope of work required
  • Be present or ensure authorized representation during the clearance
  • Secure any pets that may interfere with our work

6. Items We Cannot Remove

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot remove:

  • Hazardous materials (asbestos, chemicals, radioactive materials)
  • Medical waste or pharmaceutical products
  • Liquids, paints, and solvents
  • Gas cylinders and fuel tanks
  • Items containing personal data (unless properly destroyed)
  • Items suspected to be stolen or of questionable ownership
  • Structural materials requiring building work

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Our Insurance

  • We carry £5 million Public Liability Insurance
  • We carry £10 million Employers Liability Insurance
  • We are fully licensed waste carriers with the Environment Agency

7.2 Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided
  • We are not liable for items mistakenly removed due to unclear instructions
  • We recommend removing valuable items before our arrival
  • Any damage claims must be reported within 24 hours
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage to property

8. Cancellation and Changes

  • Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice: No charge
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice: 50% of quoted price
  • Same-day cancellations: Full quoted price may apply
  • We reserve the right to cancel due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances
  • If we cancel, you will receive full refund of any payments made

9. Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to environmentally responsible waste disposal:

  • We recycle and donate items wherever possible
  • All waste is disposed of at licensed facilities
  • We provide waste transfer notes as required by law
  • We follow all Environment Agency guidelines
  • Disposal certificates available upon request

10. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. We collect and use your information solely for the purpose of providing our services and meeting our legal obligations.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or infrastructure failures.

12. Complaints and Disputes

12.1 Complaints Procedure

  • Complaints should be made in writing within 7 days of service completion
  • We will acknowledge complaints within 2 working days
  • We aim to resolve complaints within 14 working days
  • If unresolved, complaints may be escalated to relevant trade associations

12.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
